Hot Grape Cider

Ingredients

2 quarts store-bought grape juice

One 3-inch cinnamon stick 

3 whole star anise 

1 teaspoon allspice berries 

One 3-inch chunk fresh ginger 

1 bunch concord grapes (or red or purple grapes), cleaned

Directions

  1. In a slow cooker or medium stockpot, combine the grape juice, cinnamon, star anise, allspice, ginger and grapes. Bring to a simmer. Turn off the heat and let steep for at least 20 minutes before ladling into mugs.
