3 cups milk

1 cup evaporated milk

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 cup cocoa powder

1/4 cup sugar

2 tablespoons cornstarch

Pinch ground cinnamon

Directions

 1. In a saucepan, combine the milk, evaporated milk and vanilla and warm up over a low heat.
 2. Combine the cocoa powder, sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon in a small bowl. Whisk into the warm milk mixture, stirring frequently to prevent it from scorching.
 3. Remove the hot chocolate from the heat just after it has come to a boil. The mixture should be suuuuuper rich and thick!
 4. Cook's Note: For grown-up kids, a shot of brandy, Kahlua, or peppermint schnapps is really yummy!

i have to be honest, i'm not a chocolate lover, but i must say i do love this hot cocoa. Sorry for one of the last reviews.. you don't follow directions properly if your cocoa turned into a starch ball. directions clearly say to mix corn starch with other dry ingredients before adding to warm milk. (: it helps if you slowely add dry ingredients while whisking milk.
Thanks
-B
