Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

1 pound sweet butter, at room temperature

1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar

2 teaspoons salt

2 teaspoons vanilla

4 eggs

2 teaspoons baking powder

4 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup whole wheat flour

2 2/3 cups semisweet chocolate chips

2 2/3 cups white chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a large bowl of a standing mixer beat together the butter, sugars, vanilla and salt until light and creamy. Mix in the eggs, adding them one at a time. Add the baking powder and both flours and mix well to combine. Stir in the chips until evenly distributed throughout batter. Scoop the batter by the teaspoonful to a cookie sheet. Bake for 7 minutes or until golden brown.
