Dry Rub for Pork

  • Level: Easy
  • Yield: 2 1/2 cups

Ingredients

1/2 cup ground black pepper

1/2 cup seasoned salt

1 1/4 cups turbinado sugar

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 tablespoon salt

1 tablespoon dry mustard

3/4 tablespoon chili powder

Directions

  1. Mix all dry ingredients. Rub on the outside of pork butt before smoking on grill. Note: Multiply this recipe by four if you are smoking a half of pig.

Really good dry rub, next time I will use a little less black pepper. A liitle too much for the kids. The entire family enjoyed the great flavor, and we will definatly use this recipe again with a few settle changes. Don't mind doctoring up a good base rub.
