Directions

  1. Combine 1 1/2 ounces each white rum, dark rum and thawed frozen passion fruit puree, 1 ounce each orange juice, lemon juice and simple syrup and 1/2 ounce grenadine in a shaker with ice; shake well. Strain into a hurricane glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish with a maraschino cherry and orange slice.

Cook’s Note

To make simple syrup, heat equal parts granulated sugar and water in a saucepan until the sugar dissolves; let cool. (You can use demerara sugar or honey instead of granulated sugar.)
