Frozen Margaritas

Ingredients

Margaritas:

2 cups ice cubes

1 cup sugar substitute (recommended: Splenda)

3/4 cup water

4 ounces tequila

2 lemons, juiced

2 limes, juiced

Garnish:

Coarse margarita-style salt, as needed

Lemon slices, for garnish

Lime slices, for garnish

Directions

Special equipment:
4 old-fashioned glasses
  1. Make the Margaritas: Place all ingredients in a blender and blend on high until smooth, about for 1 to 2 minutes.
  2. Run a lemon slice around the rims of the glasses to dampen them; then dip them in a small plate of salt to coat.
  3. Pour the margarita into the prepared glasses, and garnish with lemon and lime slices.

So good! I used simple syrup (water and sugar equal parts) instead of sugar substitute. Might try agave syrup next time. Delicious!
