Ingredients

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 large red onion, diced

1 teaspoon yellow mustard seeds

1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

3 tablespoons cider vinegar

2 tablespoons sugar

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

2 cups red grapes, halved

Directions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium-low heat. Add the red onion, mustard seeds and salt and cook, stirring often, until the onions are soft and translucent, about 10 minutes. Add the vinegar, sugar and Dijon mustard and stir to combine. Bring to a simmer and add the red grapes. Cook, stirring often, until the grapes are starting to break down but still have a little texture, about 10 minutes longer. Allow the mixture to cool completely. Serve with your favorite meats and cheeses.

I’m not sure why there aren’t more reviews of this fantastic recipe! Maybe it’s a repost. I saw her make this and immediately made it with grapes going bad in my fridge. Served with local Texas smoked sausage and purchased salamis on a charcuterie board to our friends who raved about it. I gave a small jar to each couple who came to dinner. Super easy!
