King Cake Bevvy

  • Level: Easy
  • Yield: 1 drink

Mardi Gras is king cake season, when bakers crank out sweet, cinnamony cakes in honor of the Bible’s Three Kings. The cakes are topped with colored sugars — purple for justice, green for faith and gold for power — and are often baked with a tiny plastic baby inside. Bourbon House riffs on the idea with a creamy king cake drink garnished with purple, green and gold sugar. —Nora Horvath for Food Network Magazine
