Tenderloin Steak Bites

  • Level: Easy
  • Yield: 4 to 6 servings
  • Total: 20 min
  • Active: 10 min
Ree used to make this dish on special occasions for her late father-in-law, Chuck, who would stand alongside her at the stove, making sure she cooked it to his liking! While Chuck insisted on having his steak extremely rare, Ree recommends cooking it no more than medium-rare.

Ingredients

1 1/2 pounds beef tenderloin, cut into bite-size pieces

1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt

1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

4 tablespoons salted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 to 3 dashes Worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Directions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sprinkle the tenderloin pieces with the salt and pepper, then set aside.
  2. Add the butter to the skillet and allow it to brown, 5 to 7 minutes. Add the tenderloin and leave undisturbed until well browned, 30 to 45 seconds. Using a spatula, flip the pieces over. Add the garlic and let cook for an additional 30 to 45 seconds. Add the Worcestershire sauce and stir. Remove to a plate.
  3. Garnish with the parsley and serve.

I made this and it had zero flavor even with extra garlic and Worcestershire sauce! I don’t recommend.
