Sweet Potato Mash

Ingredients

5 jumbo sweet potatoes, halved

8 tablespoons (1 stick) butter, at room temperature

1 cup heavy cream

3 tablespoons coarsely ground black pepper

3 tablespoons salt

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Place the sweet potatoes on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil and bake until soft, about 20 minutes. When cool enough to hold, remove the peels and place in a saucepot. Add the butter, cream, salt and pepper and mash together.

Have not tried this recipe. Sounds tasty though. <div><br /></div><div>Can't figure out what the brown thing on top of the potatoes is supposed to be in the picture. Looks like some dropped a deuce if ya catch my drift. What the hell is that supposed to be anyways? I don't think Martha Stewart would approve.</div>
