Berry Crush: Crushed Blueberries, Raspberries and Blackberries, and Honey, Ginger and Nuts

Whether it’s for breakfast, a snack or a dessert, this combination of berries, honey and thick yogurt is pretty much unbeatable — and a touch of freshly grated ginger puts the dish well over the top. Here the (fresh or frozen) berries are crushed and warmed through to release their juices. Start with a handful of blueberries in a pot over medium heat, then crush them with a fork and cook until juicy. Stir in blackberries and cook until softened. Finally, stir in raspberries, a pinch of finely grated ginger and honey to taste. Swirl over yogurt and top with toasted almonds, pistachios or walnuts. Garnish with some thinly sliced candied ginger if you'd like.
