Battle of the Brownies
Food Network Magazine asked all-star chefs Buddy Valastro and Duff Goldman to share their signature brownie recipes and the results couldn't be more different — or delicious!
Duff Goldman and Buddy Valastro will be facing off for the second time in a the brand-new season of Buddy vs. Duff later this year. In honor of the delicious rivarly, Food Network Magazine asked the two stars to battle it out in their very own showdown — over brownies! These two pro bakers couldn't have more different brownie personalities: Duff likes a classic, super chocolaty, fudgy brownie, while Buddy goes all out with a loaded triple-layer bar. See the recipes for yourself below and choose your favorite!
"There aren't any special ingredients in these brownies, but the end result is just awesome," says Duff about his simplistic, yet super fudgy treats. To take them to the next level, Duff suggests serving his chocolaty squares with vanilla or chocolate ice cream for an easy ooey-gooey à la mode treat.
"Who doesn't love a brownie! These have a twist that's to die for," says Buddy about his nutty triple-layered dessert. To make the hybrid creation, Buddy combines unsweetened chocolate and cocoa powder for the brownie layer and white chocolate chips and cake flour for the red velvet cookie layer.
