    Great Sauce

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
I used this sauce on Paula Deen's bbq pork sandwiches, it was phenomenal. I will cut back on the pepper next time. Great... recipe, highly recommended. Not too sweet for my taste. Keep up the good work Pat & Gina.Read more

    Pressure cooker Good!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
Thats right as the heading states: I made this in my electric pressure cooker in 20 minutes. I did cut down on sugar used... (5) Tablespoon brown, (1) Tablespoon dark Molasses, sauteed (1) finely chopped garlic, cut vinegar to 1/3 cup, and left out lemon juice. (1) teaspoon liquid smoke, and (1) Table spoon of McCormick s Steak seasoning (This has your black pepper, salt, red pepper, garlic, onion ) all in one.for pressure cooker I cut my water to 1/2 cup. This is good base for starters and those who never made barbecue sauce. No extras like store bought.I will be making some for the canning jars for summer. Its nice to cook; every bodys tastes are different so you can adjust accordingly. baking you have to be exact. Thank you again. I hope those who found it to sweet will try from the reviews to adjust to their liking. Thank youRead more

Boy is this sauce good! I used Splenda and the Splenda brown sugar blend (2.5 tbsps) in place of the sugars. I also used... the thick Lea & Perrins. I started it on the stove, then moved it to a slow cooker, stirring every so often. I did not find it overly sweet, it really is a personal thing. Very good.Read more

    Disappointing... Too tangy/sweet

Rated: 2 stars out of 5
We reduced the white sugar by 2 tablespoons and still found it too sweet. The BBQ sauce lacked complexity and was too acidic... with both the ketchup and vinegar. We were generally disappointed-- it was just plain in its sweetness and tartness. Read more

    Way Too Sweet!!

Rated: 3 stars out of 5
The base flavors of the sauce are not bad, but the recipe calls for entirely too much sugar and brown sugar. It also needs... more heat than just the black pepper. I added Sriracha sauce to give it a bit more of a kick. Read more
