I followed this recipe EXACTLY and it was an absolute disappointment to say the least! If you cut open a fresh jalapeno and smell it, that's exactly what the chicken tasted like. And it definitely needed some kind of sauce other than mayo. It was a disaster. The fried peppers were not worth the trouble as they added nothing to the sandwich. It was not spicy as most said. It was just a big blah on a bun! Everyone who said this was "the best chicken sandwich ever!", you deserve to have your "foodie card" pulled!! We ended up ditching the sandwich all together and ate chips and salsa for dinner. I usually LOVE Guy's flavorful recipes, but what a loser this one was. Recommendation: Don't bother, try something else for dinner. You'll thank me for it!
