    WOW

Had this at a "trim-the-tree" party and it was a big hit. I had to find this recipe so I dug out on here. The adults added... a shot of rum to theirs and it went down sooooo good. I will definitely be making this one.Read more

Guests in the Mood for the Holidays!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
I made this for a house full of 'unexpected' guests last year for Thanksgiving, and what a hit! On the stove, I made up two... separate batches in large pots. One 'with' rum and one 'rumless'. I placed the hot drinks in two separate crockpots, placed them on the counter with little labels 'Rummy' and 'Rumlesss' and to help themselves. For alot of people and great flavor and atmosphere, it's at the top of my list!Read more

    Easy but not quick

Rated: 3 stars out of 5
I used some of the ideas in the user reviews -- using cranberry juice and cloves inserted in orange slices. Also simmered it... for about 3 hours. There was such a big difference in the flavor. I tasted it at one hour, 2 horus and then three hours. At one hour, it didn't taste any different than cider microwaved for a minute in a cup. But by three hours of gentle simmering just made it awesome. Try it for sure, just let it cook a LOT longer.Read more

I never comment on recipes I get from TV, however, as simple as this recipe was it was a HUGE hit with my whole family over... the cold holidays! PS - Tried w/spiced rum was great too!Read more
