    It's a go-to recipe Halloween though January

I've made this several times now. It's so quick and easy and delicious. I make it in the crock pot on low several hours... ahead of time. It really brings on the holidays!Read more

    Wonderful

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
This is a winter delight! It makes the house smell wonderful!. The person that commented on the boiling, you have to bring it... to a boil because you have whole spices in it. Its a safety issue. And I assure you, bringing it to a boil will not remove the alcohol. You can flame wine or liquor in a pan and it will still have alcohol in it. So sit back, curl up and enjoy!!Read more

    Watch the Video!

There were some comments about the spices breaking down and leaving sediment in the bottom of the glass. Watch the video of... Ina making this, because she strains the liquid through a sieve into a glass pitcher. Anyway, I haven't made this recipe yet. I guess I'm in a very fall mood....it's approaching quickly....and I'm looking for comforting, warm recipes to add to my repertoire. This sounds sophisticated and yummy. Read more

    An excellent cold weather drink

Rated: 4 stars out of 5
I made this on Christmas and served to my family while the evening was winding down and everyone was about to open their... presents. I agree that the wine needs to be heated slowly and that the spices should be put in a bag so that there is no sediment left floating in the drink, but all in all this is an excellent, easy drink to make. It will impress your guests and make them feel right at home and comfy. Read more

    Oh no!

Rated: 1 stars out of 5
I love Ina Garten, but this recipe has a crucial and surprising flaw. The wine must NEVER be allowed to boil or you will lose... the alcohol. Mulled wine should be warmed very gently to develop the spices. Please do not ever boil it.Read more

    yummy winter beverage

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
excellent! i would recommend using a spice bag or cheesecloth. the spices seemed to break down a bit which left a little... sediment in the glass. it didn't affect the taste but would have looked better without it.Read more
