    very different

Rated: 2 stars out of 5
I made these for a family get together. Most liked them ok, but said they would rather have my bbq baked beans that I have... been making for 30 years. They are different and are flavorable. I guess it's just what you like and are use to. I would not want to discourage anyone from trying them. That's how I found my family favorite bbq baked beans....you never now. Read more

Followed recipe as is, but omitted the crushed onions on top. Rave reviews from friends. Beans are even better next day.

    Molassas

Rated: 2 stars out of 5
I had never in my life bought molassas so I had no idea what I was doing. Apparently I bought the dark molassas. Oh boy. ... Bad call. They were VERY strong - horrible flavor.Read more

    Just a comment......

I have not made these, & I'm sure they would be good, but the ingredient list should say "pork & beans", not "baked beans."... If you buy "baked beans", they already have sweeteners added & your dish will be WAY too sweet. I always use Van Camp's pork & beans for recipes like this, & drain them slightly. Food Network, you should fix this! I watched this show & even Paula called them pork & beans. Read more

    great baked beans!

Rated: 4 stars out of 5
These were really great beans! My husband really loved them! I would definitely make them again, but for me they were a... little too sweet between the bbq sauce, molasses and pineapple. So next time I'll cut back on one or all. The recipe also makes a huge 9x13 pan so I'll probably halve it since we're a family of three. But if you have a potluck or something, double it!Read more
