when I make this salad, I use italian salad dressing in place of the olive oil. it adds a lot more flavor, esp if its... chilled a few hours.Read more

You have to let this salad chill!

Rated: 4 stars out of 5
So I made this and like some of the other reviewers, found that it was very bland. I guess it was just a newbie mistake... because now I realize it has to marinate for a while first duhhhh. It doesnt say so in the recipe but it makes a huge difference. After I made it, I figured I would try to use it for the R2 recipe Sandra Lee has up for falafels that looks banging, when I took out the salad the next day the flavors had really blossomed and the salad was delish. the taste of raw red onion is still a little much for me so maybe I will add less or omit it completely next time, but I will definitely make this again! healthy tasty refreshing and doesnt use anything processed~ love it! thanks again Sandra! twitter-wholewheathoney Read more

    Extraordinary and unusual!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
I just tried this for the first time, and though I am not generally a chick pea fan, I found this salad refreshing as well as... satisfying. I didn't measure the ingredients; I seldom do unless I'm baking, so I am sure I added a bit of extra green pepper, carrots, and parsley. I also used 1/2 lemon juice and 1/2 lime juice which really makes the flavors POP on this excellent skinny girl salad! Thanks so much Sandra!Read more

    Disappointing

Rated: 1 stars out of 5
This recipe was quite disappointing. I made it to take to a dinner party but was didn't bring it to the gathering because it... had no flavor. I won't be making this again. Read more

    Quick but not that flavorful

Rated: 3 stars out of 5
I was sort of disappointed. It didn't seem to have much flavor. Had a ton left over.
