Ingredients
Tea:
- 5 cups water
- 2 1/2 cups sugar
- 10 black tea bags
- Pinch baking soda
Drink:
Directions
Combine all of the tea ingredients to a large pot over medium heat. The baking soda will darken the syrup and reduce the bitterness. Bring the mixture to a boil stirring to dissolve the sugar and extracting as much tea as possible. Once the mixture is boiling, remove the pot from the heat and let steep until cooled. Remove and discard the tea bags and reserve the sweet tea syrup.
In a large container combine the sweet tea syrup and add water, to taste. Add remaining ingredients, bourbon, peach schnapps and lemon juice, also to desired taste.
