Ingredients

2 cups milk

1/2 vanilla bean, split and seeds scraped

1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom

2 black tea bags

1 tablespoon honey, or more as desired

Directions

  1. Pour the milk into a saucepan (with a spout if you have it) and add the vanilla seeds and pod and cardamom. Give it a stir. Add the tea bags, tying the string around the handle of the saucepan to easily remove the bags later. Place over medium-high heat and bring to a slight simmer, stirring occasionally, about 5 minutes.
  2. Take off the heat, remove the tea bags and discard. Stir in the honey, as much as you want. Pour into tea cups.

Delicious. I usually warm milk and add local honey and that's it. This recipe added wonderful ingredients, such as vanilla beans and cardamom! Two of my favorite spices and flavors. I will make this tea throughout my fall and winter season. Thank you for this nice recipe.
