Sparkling Apple Cider Sangria

Ingredients

2 cups apple cider

1/2 cup cognac 

2 apples, peeled, cored and julienned 

1/4 cup pomegranate seeds 

One 750-milliliter bottle cava or other dry sparkling wine, chilled 

Directions

  1. Put the apple cider, cognac and apples in a large pitcher and stir to combine. Chill for at least an hour.
  2. Stir most of the pomegranate seeds into the mixture, reserving a few for garnish. Pour in the cava. Pour the sangria into glasses and garnish each with a few pomegranate seeds.

This sangria was really yummy! I was concerned that it would be too sweet but using the Cava was perfect!
