Ingredients
For the Hibiscus Simple Syrup:
1 cup sugar
2 hibiscus tea bags
For the Drink:
3 tablespoons (1 1/2 ounces) bourbon
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice, plus a lemon wheel for garnish
Directions
- Make the simple syrup: Heat the sugar and 1 cup water in a small saucepan over high heat until boiling. Remove from the heat and add the tea bags. Let steep 10 minutes, then remove the tea bags. Let the syrup cool.
- For each drink: Stir together 3 tablespoons of the simple syrup, the bourbon and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker. Pour over ice and garnish with a lemon wheel.
