Central City Cafe - Granny Faye's Meatloaf

Ingredients

4 pounds ground beef

1 large green pepper, diced

1 large onion, diced

3 eggs

1 1/2 tablespoons chili powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

3/4 cup cracker crumbs

Ketchup, as needed

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except ketchup. Knead mixture and place into a loaf pan. In a large shallow pan, add 1-inch of water, place the meatloaf pan in the center and cover with foil. Bake for approximately 1 hour.
  3. Drain water, remove foil, cover meatloaf with ketchup and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes.

The best meatloaf recipe Ihave made. It is my husbands favorite meal and was better than my 35 year mothers recipe It was moist good flavor and slices so easy. The recipe made 2 loaves and I am able to share . This was the best. Thank you it was a great Sunday meal with lots of leftovers!!!!!!!!
