Ingredients

1 3/4 cups all purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon dry mustard

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons baking powder

4 tablespoons butter, cut into pieces, chilled

1 cup shredded extra sharp Cheddar cheese

About 2/3 cup of milk

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
  2. In a food processor mix the flour, mustard, salt and baking powder. Add the butter and process until the butter is pebble in sized pieces. Add the cheese and process. Add almost all of the milk and process until it comes together in a soft dough; do not overprocess. If dough is dry, add more milk.
  3. Pat the dough out to 1/2inch thickness. Cut into square shaped biscuits or with a cutter or glass cut into 2 1/2-inch rounds. Set on a baking sheet and bake for 15 to 17 minutes.

Terrible. Did not raise and had a doughy texture. My expertise with using a food processor for this is limited, but I always think things are better hand-mixed. Might be better by hand?
