Cook’s Note

Biltmore Estate in Asheville, N.C., the largest privately owned home in America, celebrates Christmas with some traditions begun when George W. Vanderbilt first welcomed his friends and family to the French Renaissance chateau on Christmas Eve 1895. This beverage, though, is made from modern ingredients and served at one of the estate's restaurants, Deerpark. It's all part of Biltmore's Christmas festivities that include holiday ensemble music and candlelight Christmas tours of the 8,000-acre, 250-room estate.

I'm not a big chocolate drink, drinker, but mother in law is.. hence me trying this. It's just another variation on a chocolate martini. The peppermint schnapps does give it that festive flavor. Only comment was "a bit more chocolate". Pretty to kick it up a notch with vanilla cognac which I did. Much better
