Ingredients

1 to 2 cups cream or half-and-half

1 cup plain yogurt

1/4 cup honey

1/2 cup dried, pitted dates, roughly chopped

Grated nutmeg

Directions

  1. Put all the ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth. Pour into a glass or glasses and serve.

I did not like this. The shake was cloying and tasted too much like yogurt. I think vanilla ice cream would be a good substitute. And leave out the honey; the dates are sweet enough as is. I'm still on the lookout for the perfect date shake recipe.
