Garlic Shrimp

Ingredients

1 pound medium (21/25) tail-on shrimp, peeled, deveined and butterflied

1 tablespoon Hawaiian sea salt 

1/4 teaspoon pepper  

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder 

1 cup chopped garlic

1/2 cup olive oil 

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted 

1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine or white wine

1/2 lemon 

Directions

  1. Toss the shrimp with the salt, pepper and garlic powder. Add 1/2 cup of the garlic, stir in the olive oil and mix well.
  2. Heat a skillet over high heat and add the shrimp, melted butter and the remaining garlic. Cook until done, making sure not to overcook the shrimp, 3 to 4 minutes. Just before the shrimp finish cooking, add the Shaoxing wine.
  3. Squeeze some fresh lemon over the shrimp and serve.
