Music City Pig Pals Tangy Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients

1 cup ketchup

1/2 cup light brown sugar

2 teaspoons salt

1 teaspoon pepper

6 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

2 tablespoons lemon juice

4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

2 teaspoons prepared mustard

1 teaspoon chili powder

1/4 cup water

1 tablespoon oil

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon red pepper, optional

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients well. Simmer over low heat for 30 to 40 minutes. Pour into mason jars and store in refrigerator until ready to use. May use on chicken, beef or pork.

I've made it several times, and it's phenomenal for home use. It gets better with age, and I've had it last months in the refrigerator without going bad. This is my go-to barbecue sauce.
