Ingredients

16 used vanilla beans, plus more if needed

One 750-milliliter bottle brandy

Directions

Special equipment:
a quart mason jar with lid
  1. Fill a quart mason jar with vanilla beans standing on end. Top up with brandy to cover the beans and seal. Let it sit for a month before using to allow the vanilla to permeate the brandy. Top up with fresh beans and brandy from time to time.

Been makin our own vanilla for couple if years we use Vodka instead store two bottles in the back of the pantry the long the better didnt use till after about 6 months and that was 2 yrs ago other bottle is till there just finished the first one omg there is no comparison
