Ingredients
2 Granny Smith apples, shredded on the larger holes of a box grater
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon sambal oelek (chile garlic sauce)
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
One 14-ounce bag slaw mix, chopped
3 ounces shredded carrots
Directions
- Toss the apples with the apple cider vinegar in a bowl and set aside while making the dressing.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, hoisin sauce, sambal and sugar. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add the slaw, carrots and apples and toss everything well to combine. Serve.
