Loreal Gavin , 26, is motorcycle-riding, guitar-playing chick who loves tattoos, and she's been trained in culinary arts, baking and pastry. She was raised by her grandmother, who taught her to cook from her soul. Read on below to hear from Loreal, and learn about her style of cooking and thoughts on the competition.

Describe your cooking style or culinary point of view — in one sentence, if you can.

Loreal: I have a grandmother's soul from the Deep South and an insatiable lust for adventure.

Loreal: I didn't. I just knew that I had to come in here and be myself.

Loreal: I am very unique, and the path that I've chosen is, like, bizarre-o world for a lot of 26-year-old women, 'cause I've been a butcher for the last three years.

Loreal: I've been asked this question several times before, and it's kind of funny, kind of not. I usually just say "crap." I hate when you're working somewhere and your executive chef gives you a box of green tomatoes and wants you to make an amazing marinara out of it. So if anything, just products of a low integrity.

Loreal: Probably a bone-in prime, dry-aged rib eye encrusted in porcini powder and Kona coffee
