There’s nothing like a hot, fresh doughnut with our morning coffee. But on a cold or busy morning, the one thing better than a visit to our favorite cafe or doughnut shop may just be having the option to enjoy the same flavors fresh from our own oven.

Pillsbury’s Funfetti is perhaps best known in festive birthday cake baking mix form, but why should the fun be limited to a celebratory cake? Birthdays come just once a year, but doughnuts can be a regular treat, and so the debut of Funfetti as a doughnut mix is something that we’re very excited about.

The new Pillsbury Funfetti doughnut comes in Funfetti Cake, Unicorn Pink Vanilla and Chocolate. Doughnuts can be enjoyed in many ways, and every variety has its fanbase. Everyone can get what they want with this mix, which can be baked, pan fried or air fried. Each box makes 12 large doughnuts or 36 doughnut holes, and comes with a classic glaze mix. All that’s necessary to prepare the doughnuts (or holes) is milk, water and eggs (with a bit more milk for the glaze).

The mix can be found now with limited availability, including online at spots like Walmart, but will be nationwide on February 1.

This is the season of hunkering down at home and baking warm, satisfying treats. Finally, doughnut lovers can add their own favorite snack to the mix.
