Gisele Bundchen Shares Her Junk Food Addiction

It makes the supermodel seem a bit less superhuman.

In most cases, a weakness for donuts makes a person a bit thicker around the middle. In Gisele Bündchen’s case, it makes headlines.

Nearly as famous for the super-strict diet she shares with her husband, NFL star Tom Brady, as she is for her career as a supermodel, Bündchen apparently has a secret junk-food addiction: Dunkin’ Donuts. Or, well, at this point, it’s actually no secret at all. Quite the opposite.

Bündchen confessed to her love of Munchkins – those small spheres of donut deliciousness – in a recent Wall Street Journal profile, which trumpeted her admission far and wide.

“IMPORTANT WORLD NEWS exclusive: Gisele Bündchen likes Dunkin’ Donuts,” the story, written by Jason Gay, blasts at the outset and on social media. “No, check that. Gisele Bündchen loves Dunkin’ Donuts.”

And not just a little bit.

“Do you know those things called Munchkins?” the supermodel asks. “Oh, my God. I cannot have one. I have to have, like, 10. They’re so tiny…. It’s a guilty pleasure.”

Bündchen spoke of other things in the piece – how Brady is more into fashion than she is, how she’s probably more ready for him to retire from football than he is and how unhappy he is when his team loses, how family dinner time in the Brady-Bündchen household is sacrosanct. But no other revelation has sparked the flurry of excitement as her donut admission. (It all started when she and Brady began bringing donuts to son Benjamin’s hockey practice.)

Alas, no, just because Bündchen can eat (or claim to eat) fists full of Munchkins and still look like she does not mean the rest of us can. Sigh. But it does make the supermodel seem a little bit less superhuman, no?
