Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 pounds chicken wings
  • 1/3 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1/2 cup lite soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 to 2 cups maple syrup

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Cut off chicken wing tips and snip the skin between the joints. Place in disposable large baking pan. Add the maple syrup, soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, garlic, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper, toss to coat.

Place pan on baking sheet and bake for approximately 1 hours, tossing every 15 to 20 minutes. The liquid will gradually evaporate the longer you cook it.

After 1 hour, increase the oven temperature to 425 degrees F. Turn wings to coat evenly and cook an additional 45 minutes.

    Sure fire crowd pleaser!

These are so deliciious, every time I make them I get countless requests for the recipe. Make sure to use real maple syrup... and I cook mine at 375 degrees for one hour. They turn out juicy and delicious!Read more

    Always loved by kids!

No need to listen to negative thoughts of others when these actually speak for themselves. I have made these several times... and you need to watch and make decisions as you go. That's cooking! They are meant to be stiky gooey and messy. That's all the fun of them. It's nice that they are tasty as well!Read more

    maple chicken wings

Rated: 1 stars out of 5
I tried these wings and found them absolutely awful! Way too much liquid, chicken overcooked (1 1/2 hours for chicken... wings?), and favorless. I should have followed my instincts but the reviews were so enthusiastic. I also should have noted some of the changes that others had made as these wings were a huge disappointment as they were. The maple syrup was the key. And I used good Vermont syrup. But after all that cooking everything lost flavor and you were left with a sticky mess with rubber skin. The worst part, however, was the smell in the house. I have tried everything to get the smell of overcooked syrup out and it keeps coming back! Ugh! There are too many other wing recipes that are better than this mess.Read more

I made this recipe for my husband for the Superbowl and he just loved them. I think they tasted fantastic and I can't wait... to make them again. I do recommend a disposable pan because these wings are messy and sticky, but they are OH SO GOOD!Read more

    Great for parties or entertaining

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
This is a great recipe, have made these at least a dozen times in the last couple years and I always get compliments on them.... They are great to serve at a party, and are always the first to go. I have had several people ask for the recipe. They are tender and fall off the bone, and a bit messy to eat. Definately use REAL maple syrup when making, I have tried both the real maple syrup and the fake pancake syrup and there is a big difference. Also, make sure to use a disposable pan when cooking because it will be impossible to clean off a regular pan. Excellent wings, definately 5 stars!Read more
