These cookies are great because you don't have to bake them. I use raisins in this recipe, but you could use cranberries or any type of dried fruit, or none at all if you prefer. You could also use melted chocolate to drizzle on top to finish off these cookies.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips, melted
  • 12 ounces butterscotch chips, melted
  • 1 (16-ounce) can Chinese noodles
  • 1 (16-ounce) can unsalted dry roasted peanuts
  • 1 cup raisins
  • Sprinkles, for decorating

Directions

Melt chocolate and butterscotch separately in a double boiler over barely simmering water, or in the microwave at 50 percent power.

In a medium bowl, combine the melted chocolate and butterscotch, and set aside. In another medium bowl, combine Chinese noodles, peanuts and raisins. Mix in the melted chocolate mixture. Drop the batter by heaping tablespoons onto waxed paper and refrigerate until set, about 20 minutes. Decorate cookies with sprinkles.

I was introduced to these cookies when i was young and they have been served every year for Christmas. I always though that my family made this recipe up because when ever i would make these cookies for my friends no one knew what they were. It excites me that someone else knows about these delicious cookies. when i make these i do not put the raisins in and they are amazing.

I was looking for something teenaged boys and girls could do-something easy and quick. These no cook 'cookies' are very good and fun and easy to do.

This is not at all a cookie. It's a bunch of stuff mixed together and dipped in chocolate & butterscotch. Tasty, though. The crunch of the noodles and the saltiness contrasts nicely with the chocolate-butterscotch coating. Recipe calls for a "medium bowl", it takes a large bowl to mix this up. It makes a huge batch. And a little piece of this goes a long way. You might want to halve the recipe unless you really want a large amount.
