You can create up to five timers

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup dried hibiscus flowers
  • 1/2 cup agave syrup
  • Grated zest and juice of 1 lime, plus lime slices for garnish

Directions

Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Add the hibiscus flowers, agave syrup and lime zest and let steep 7 to 10 minutes.

Strain through a sieve into a pitcher, discarding the solids. Add the lime juice, 2 cups cold water and 2 cups ice. Serve over ice and garnish with lime.

    This was so good and refreshing! Serving it really cold is the key. I did not add any sugar for health reasons but it was still really good. I have read that hibiscus tea is good to help lower blood pressure, lower the bad cholesterol and to remove toxins from your liver. I just drink it because it was delicious and refreshing.

    This was really yummy...actually...I did not have the syrup so I just used some sue bee honey. It was great like a rosey flavored limeade. Make sure you ice it really cold, it makes all the difference. My daughter added a little sugar to hers, but mine was the perfect amount of sweet and slightly tart.
