How to Make a Soothing Foot Bath

1 gallon water, divided

1/2 bunch fresh rosemary, about 4 to 5 springs

1/2 bunch fresh thyme, about 10 to 12 springs

1 bunch sage

6 peppermint tea bags

2 lemons, sliced into disks

1 orange, sliced into disks

2 trays ice cubes

Bring 1/2 gallon water to a boil. Place rosemary, thyme, and sage in a cheesecloth bundle that is tied securely or you can use a clean white 100 percent cotton sock to create a removable herb bundle. Put tea bags and herb bundle in boiling water. Turn the burner off and steep the tea and herbs for 15 minutes. Add lemon and orange disks and transfer to a very clean bucket, large enough to accommodate your feet comfortably. Add 1/2 gallon cold water and the ice cubes. Remove tea bags and herb bundle. Arrange the bucket in front of your most comfortable chair, grab a book or magazine and sit down and let the soothing begin.
