Ingredients
1/3 cup raw shea butter
1/3 cup virgin coconut oil
1/4 cup sweet almond or olive oil
8 drops sweet orange oil (or desired amount)
6 drops peppermint oil (or desired amount)
(Scented essential oils are optional. You can mix and match the scents you like.)

  1. Microwave the shea butter, coconut oil and almond or olive oil in a microwave-safe bowl for 1 minute. Continue to microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until melted. (Be careful removing the bowl because the oil is hot!)
  2. Add your desired amount of scented oil and place in the fridge to solidify. You can let it stand on the counter, but it will take longer to harden.
  3. Once solid, remove from the fridge and let stand to temper for 15 minutes.
  4. Use a hand mixer or stand mixer to whip the mixture until fluffy and creamy. The mixture should resemble buttercream frosting. Decant into desired resealable container and package with a ribbon, bow and/or razor.

To use:
Rub a dime-sized amount of the mixture on the area you want to shave and shave as usual.

When finished, you can wipe away the excess with a warm towel or rub it in if you like extra moisture.

Yields approximately 1/2 pint (1 cup) of shaving cream
