Easy Pizza Sauce

Ingredients

One 4-ounce can tomato paste

1 1/2 cups water

1/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

Salt and pepper

1/2 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano leaves

1/2 tablespoon chopped fresh basil leaves

1/2 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary leaves

Directions

  1. Mix together the tomato paste, water, and olive oil. Mix well. Add garlic, salt and pepper, to taste, oregano, basil, and rosemary. Mix well and let stand several hours to let flavors blend. No cooking necessary, just spread on dough.

There’s nothing wrong with this recipe. I, too, thought it was going to be watery but took my whisk and thoroughly blended the paste, oil and water in increments because it was starting to look watery. It turned into a perfect blend. The seasoning was perfect. I like fennel so did add that. Had enough for 2 pizzas and will make it again. We live in a small condo without a lot of storage and it was nice to have a recipe that didn’t feed 12.
