Ingredients

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 garlic clove, crushed

1 (28-ounce) can tomato puree

1 teaspoon dried marjoram

1 teaspoon dried basil

Salt and fresh ground pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. Over medium heat, heat oil in a saucepan until hot. Add all ingredients, cover and bring to a boil. Uncover, lower heat and allow to simmer for 30 minutes.
  2. Pizza Toppings for Red Sauce: Shredded mozzarella Fresh basil Turkey sausage, cooked.

Great starter pizza sauce that you can tweak. I made it as it stated plus adding a little sugar Our family prefers a sweeter sauce. It was delicious and I anticipate it being better the day after.
