Marinade for Carne Asada

Ingredients

1 white onion, quartered

3 scallions, trimmed and cut in half

3 cloves garlic

1/2 bunch cilantro with stems

2 teaspoons salt

2 teaspoons Adobo, (recommended: Goya)

1/2 cup red wine

Directions

  1. Blend all ingredients in blender. Marinate meat at least 30 minutes.

I used the marinade for chicken thighs and skirt steak. It was delicious. I made the mistake of adding salt to the chicken and steak in addition to what the recipe calls for. I grilled both and I would definitely save this recipe and try again.
