Ingredients

8 ounces zoo animal shaped pasta

8 ounces frozen peas and carrots, thawed

1/4 cup roasted red peppers, diced

1/4 cup light Caesar dressing or light ranch dressing

Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Directions

  1. Bring a large pot of water to boil over high heat.
  2. Add pasta to boiling water and cook for 10 to 12 minutes or until pasta is tender, stirring occasionally. Remove pasta from heat and drain carefully in colander. Return pasta to pot. Add vegetables and salad dressing. Stir over medium-heat until heated through; about 3 minutes. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, to taste, and stir. Remove from heat and serve immediately.

I haven't made this pasta salad yet, but when reading the recipe it was a bit different from what she did on the show I just watched. In the last 2-3 minutes of cooking the pasta, she added the peas and carrots for only about those 2-3 minutes. She also directly added the salad dressing to the drained pasta/peas/carrots and never reheated it as it calls for on the recipe posted on this site.<br />I just thought that was a bit unusual to change it that way and it would seem it would change the flavor (not heating it).
