Ingredients
1 pound good-quality dark chocolate, chopped
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1 tablespoon Shaohsing rice wine or dry sherry
1 teaspoon Sichuan peppercorns, toasted and ground
Fresh strawberries, for serving
Fresh mango, sliced into 2-inch pieces, for serving
Bananas, cut into 2-inch pieces, for serving
Directions
- In a double boiler, melt the chocolate over barely simmering water. Stir together the cream and rice wine, and then gradually stir into the melted chocolate to combine. Stir in the Sichuan peppercorns. Transfer the mixture to a fondue pot to keep warm and serve with fresh fruit.
