Buttercup Pantry is one of a few spots where you can get order the legendary Hangtown Fry, an egg scramble complete with oysters, bacon and onions that dates all the way back to the Gold Rush. Legend has it, one miner came into Placerville and ordered the kitchen to make him the most-expensive meal possible. Buttercup Pantry takes it one step further by adding melted cheese on top.
