Then he visits Hutchins BBQ, a legendary Texas barbecue institution known for their brisket and an all-you-can-eat deal that will leave you with meat sweats. In Seattle, Wash., Nguyen heads to List, an upscale Italian restaurant where everything on the menu is half price, including homemade truffle gnocchi and Chilean sea bass. In Austin, Texas, he satisfies his sweet tooth at Chez Zee, where an award-winning baker cooks up a sweet two-for-one dessert deal every night of the week.

Chef Nguyen Tran is making his way across the US in search of delicious food at incredible prices. In Portland, Ore., he flips over a deal at Brix Tavern, a high-end sports pub where winning a coin toss means the entire meal is on the house. Before trying his luck, Nguyen samples Brix Chips, nachos made with roasted pork shoulder and creamy Swiss fondue, and a rotisserie platter piled with three kinds of meat. Then he heads to Fig, a restaurant in one of Los Angeles' most iconic hotels, and enjoys half-price specialties like whole roasted fish and homemade lamb pasta. In Austin, Texas, Nguyen joins the crowd at Gourdough's Public House, a food truck-turned-restaurant that has customers lining up early for their legendary donuts and two-for-one, Texas-sized donut burgers. He wraps up in Seattle, Wash., at Jackson's Catfish Corner, a family-run joint that serves up heart, soul and a legendary catfish special that's only available one day a week.
