Ingredients

  • 1 bag frozen peas and carrots
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 2 teaspoons adobo sauce from can of chipotle chiles, or to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley leaves
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives

Directions

Add water and adobo sauce to peas and carrots in a microwavable dish. Cover well and microwave 3 to 5 minutes, depending on your microwave, until heated through. Add parsley and chives, stir to coat.

    Kudos to Robin for thinking outside of the box, I wouldn't have thought of mixing these flavors... and it was tasty!

    My husband likes spicy food, but he took one bite and said "take it away." I can't blame him, though. The adobo sauce just doesn't taste good with this recipe. We ended up throwing away the whole batch practically untouched.

    What a horrible combo. Furthermore, we look to this channel for "different" recipes. Not ones we could easily do without watching tv. FN is going downhill...
