Simplify Snack Time with These Kid-Friendly Hacks
Make snack time a breeze with these organization tips!
First, you'll want to clue your kids in on the new stoplight system. Snacks will be color-coded so that they can help themselves, within agreed-upon limits:
- - Red section snacks are those that kids should ask their parents before eating.
- - Yellow section snacks can be eaten once per day.
- - Green section snacks can be taken whenever kids want them.
Pantry Snack Simplifier
What you'll need:
- - Hole punch
- - Reusable snack bags
- - Bulk pantry snacks
- - Reusable storage cups
- - Hangable scoop
- - Adhesive hooks
- - Adhesive caddies
- - Green, red, yellow masking tapes
How to:
- Punch a single hole in the top of each reusable bag above the seal.
- Divide the bulk snacks among the individual reuasable snack bags or reusable storage cups with a scoop.
- Attach adhesive hooks and adhesive caddies to the pantry door; be sure to install a place to hang the scoop.
- Using red, yellow, and green masking tape, outline 3 boxed-off sections, known as the "stoplight system," making the sections large enough to accommodate several portions in each.
- Add indivudal snack bags and storage cups to the pantry hooks and caddies.
Lazy Susan Refrigerator Organizer
What you'll need:
- - Green, red, yellow, masking tapes
- - Lazy Susan
- - Refrigerated snacks
- - Reusable storage cups
How to:
- Add a strip of green masking tape along the edge of one third of the lazy Susan. Repeat with the yellow and red tapes on the remaining thirds.
- Add refrigerated snacks to lazy Susan using the "stoplight system."
Rice Cake Fruit Snack
What you'll need:
- - Almond butter
- - Rice cakeBlueberries

How to:
- Spread almond butter on the rice cake.
- Top the rice cake with blueberries and strawberries.
- Drizzle honey over the rice cake.
