Spiced Popcorn

Ingredients

1/2 cup popcorn kernels

4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) unsalted butter

2 tablespoons packed light brown sugar

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1/2 teaspoon cayenne

1 teaspoon garlic powder

2 teaspoons kosher salt

Directions

  1. Pop the kernels according to package directions and transfer to a large serving bowl.
  2. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Mix in the remaining ingredients until well combined. Pour the spiced butter over the popcorn and toss until evenly coated. Serve.

This was good... not awesome like I was craving. I do blame myself however w/ too much salt (I used salted butter & was a tad heavy otherwise.) The butter sugar mixture separated & was a bit ‘gloppy.’ Regardless, given a few tweaks I think this could be crave-worthy.
