Ingredients

3 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 teaspoon chili powder

1/2 cup popcorn kernels

Fine Salt

Directions

  1. Heat the oil over medium-high heat in a large pot. Add 1 kernel to the pot and cover. When the kernel pops, pour in the remaining kernels, chili powder cumin and cayenne. Cook, covered, shaking the pan until the popping ends. Season with salt to taste and toss.

If you follow the directions to this recipe, the spices will burn! I don't know why I didn't realize that before I followed the recipe! If I were to try this again, I would pop the kernels in the oil and immediately add the spices. <br /><br />Even though the spices were burnt, the heat from the cayenne came through which was a plus!
