Ingredients

5 ounces fresh apple cider

5 ounces maple syrup

3 ounces pear puree or juice

2 ounces fresh lemon juice

1 heaping teaspoon ground cinnamon

5 ounces sparkling clear non-alcoholic cider (or 5 ounces hard cider or pumpkin beer)

Directions

Special equipment:
a punch bowl and crazy straws, optional
  1. Mix the apple cider, maple syrup, pear puree, lemon juice and cinnamon together in a large cocktail shaker and dry-shake until the cinnamon is properly incorporated. Transfer the mixture to a small punch bowl with a large chunk of ice (see Cook's Note) and stir until chilled.
  2. For the kids: Ladle into mason jars, top with sparkling non-alcoholic cider, add a crazy straw and serve.
  3. For the adults: Ladle into small glasses with ice and top with hard cider.

Cook’s Note

To make a large ice cube, freeze water in a plastic or metal bowl slightly smaller than the punch bowl.
